RESUME
Jennifer is a native English speaker who has lived and worked in Spain for more than 35 years. While running her own language academy in Granada she started working part time as an interpreter for an international institute offering workshops for medical practitioners. This was the first step in a long career as a medical linguist, and for the past ten years she has been working as a full time translator specialising in research papers for peer-reviewed journals, clinical trials, product characteristics, and training material for the healthcare sector.
Jennifer's second field of speciality is law, through the translation of several regulatory documents for Spanish regional health ministries. She has received training in the translation of contracts, company statutes, court proceedings, etc. through the City University in London, and has many years experience working with legal firms.

Upledger Institute
Jennifer worked with the Upledger Institute in Spain and the US, providing interpreting services in their four-day workshops for healthcare professionals. After ten, happy, instructive, and eventful years, she reluctantly passed the baton to a trusted colleague in order to devote her time to written translations.
Fundación Iavante
The Fundación Iavante, part of the Regional Ministry of Health of Andalusia, is at the forefront of innovative training methodoligies for medical professionals. In 2003, the head of languages at the Fundación asked Jennifer to join the team as a freelance translator and interpreter. Over a period of nine years, she translated a wide variety documents ranging from case studies, research articles, regulatory documents developed by the regional ministry, and material for the Foundation's courses. She also provided interpreting services in some of the Foundation's events.
Medical journals
Jennifer is currently engaged in the translation and editing of research papers for publication in bilingual peer-reviewed medical journals published by Elsevier, such as Archivos de Bronconeumologia, the journal of the Spanish Society of Anaesthesiology, Oncology Reports, Cornea, Acta Ophthalmologica, Hospital General de Mexico, etc.
